UNCW LEARN Bulletin Board
Welcome to the Blackboard e-Education platform—designed to enable educational innovations everywhere by connecting people and technology.
Beginning this August, ITS will begin purging courses older than three years from Blackboard Learn. This process will permanently delete all courses from the spring 2010 semester through the fall 2012 semester. This action is being taken in order to free up space while making instructors’ Blackboard course lists more manageable.
For instructors, we highly recommend archiving and saving your Blackboard course content by mid-July.
View instructions for archiving content here: http://uncw.edu/oel/documents/pdfs/exportcourse.pdf
Important note: The protocol for retaining Blackboard course content going forward will be three years. Courses older than three years will be removed each August.
Info for students: Students do not have the ability to archive courses. For students, we recommend keeping copies of submitted work. Any work that has been submitted to Blackboard can be accessed and downloaded via the My Grades tool.
For any questions or concerns regarding the course purge, please contact Tom Dorgan at email@example.com.
If you need additional assistance archiving your courses, contact the Office of e-Learning at firstname.lastname@example.org or 910-962-2953.
